The studio

A tranquil space to practise: light, airy and uncluttered, on the top floor of Britannia Building on Coventry Road, Burbage. There's a separate changing area and a comfortable communal space where students have green tea before class.

Our philosophy

"Do your practice and all is coming." Sri K. Pattabhi Jois

Our ethos is rooted in the Ashtanga Vinyasa practice and the 8 Limbs of Yoga. The physical postures are one part of a much larger practice, a traditional process as much as it is a workout.

Kat opened the studio in 2016 to teach yoga traditionally, as it used to be taught in India by our teachers' teachers. In her words, it has been her joy and passion “to support, guide and nurture people interested in practising yoga”.

We consider yoga is right for everyone. It doesn't make judgement, it doesn't discriminate, and anyone and everyone can benefit from this powerful practice. Whether you're starting fresh or continuing a long-standing practice, you're welcome.

Namaste, and we look forward to welcoming you onto the mat.

On Coventry Road, top floor.

Park on the street, or in the car park behind Millennium Hall on Britannia Road. Enter through the main door, take the stairs immediately to your left, all the way up (a good warm up!). The door at the top leads straight into the studio.

House rules

  • Quiet on arrival

A class may still be in progress. Whisper-talk inside the studio, please.

  • Bare feet

We practise barefoot. Leave your shoes in the changing area, along with any emotional baggage from the day so far!

  • Bring a towel

Bring a small towel to the stronger classes if you tend to get warm.

  • Spray the mat

Studio mats are shared, so please spray and wipe yours before rolling it up. If you practise regularly, it's worth having your own mat.

  • Phones off

Please switch your phone off and leave it in your bag.
