Dearest Yoga Friends,

GOOD WISHES AND HIGH HOPES FOR 2021

With the arrival of 2021 I’d like to send my warmest wishes to my practitioners past, present and those yet to discover.

What changes we have seen!  I hope for us all that the New Year brings us joy and peace as the challenges from 2020 subside.

I have felt humbled by the humanity and thoughtfulness I have seen here in our Hinckley and Burbage community and I am so very grateful for you all for supporting our yoga business  and each other.  Please continue to support us in 2021. We are here to SUPPORT YOU, your physical and mental health  and also keep you connected to others within our amazing  yoga community!

I know lots of you were hoping to re-connect and re-start your yoga practice in January with face to face classes at the tranquil Yoga Loft but do not let this extended online only teaching period to stop you stepping on your yoga mat. January is a great time to come back and adapting  to the new (online)ways of living is something we have all mastered rather well in 2020.

Online Classes resume from Monday the 4th January, with a wide range of classes for everyone . From energetic VINYASA, dynamic ASHTANGA, fun to play with Power yoga to essential RESTORATIVE yoga.....

To uplift your energy and support your mental health during these times of isolation and separation I would like to invite you to join in our FREE Online Meditation class every Friday 715pm, just remember to book your space to receive the email link.

I am also  excited that I am able to continue Saturday morning classes, supporting the yoga practice and progress of my more advanced students through a smaller  group setting where I closely observe and offer individual verbal guidance. If you have been practicing with us for a while get in touch about joining this group of yogis.

All of our classes are very well explained and easy to follow, some suitable for beginners also and if you can not attend the live class, the recording is available on request.

NEW INTRO TUTORIALS!  I am currently preparing  some prerecorded shorter sessions  “basics of yoga” videos for those students who are completely new to yoga or those students who feel the need to start from the basics again before joining our more dynamic classes on the schedule. So stay in touch on our FB or instagram or email me if you are interested.

May this new year bring you warmth, love and light to guide your path to a positive and healthy destination.

Cheers to you all, take care and stay safe

Lots of love

Kat and YL teaching team.

Dear Yoga Lofters,

We were really hoping to reopen on the 2nd December but we have all learnt that our area has been placed into tier 3 restrictions. This means we cannot open our doors to face to face teaching until further advice.

Please continue your Yoga practice with us via our online schedule.

Namaste Safe,

Kat

Dear Yoga Lofters,

This isn’t the email I ever wanted to send, but sadly the Yoga Loft doors will be closing once again from this Thursday.  Our final studio class will be on Wednesday night at 7:15pm.

But we are going VIRTUAL once again!  Zoom classes kept us connected during the last  Lock Down situation and your feedback was very positive. We are here to continue supporting you and we are already preparing our new Online  timetable to do it again.

Let’s keep our structure and routine going to protect our mind and bodies in these very difficult times. Please keep practising to ensure you separate out some time in your day for you!

Classes will be available daily, you can book in advance through the MindBody App, as you do currently.  I will be leading the classes alongside some of my teaching team this time, which will allow you to continue exploring  the verity of our schedule. We are excited to invite you to our NEW Meditation class, starting from this Friday evening 715pm and for first two weeks this class is available to book (now) FREE of charge.

For those students who can not attend the classes  in our live schedule, you can request the recording to enjoy the class in your preferred time.

Anyone with a current membership will have their membership frozen until we are back in the studio. Online Schedule and booking will be available from This Thursday.

Simple Check List - Download free Zoom app & find some quiet space in your home.

If we can find any positive in the current restrictions, is that we are now able to share our classes on-line via Zoom, allowing more students to join in and enjoy.

Keep a look out for The Yoga Loft at home V2!

Take care, Namaste

Kat

We’re here to support you during the Coronavirus outbreak

An update from Kat on the Coronavirus

We want to reassure you that the new 6-person limit on social gatherings in England does not apply to organised indoor and outdoor sports, physical activity and exercise classes in Covid-Secure venues.

This includes gyms, leisure centres, yoga studios and community halls that have met the government Health and safety guidelines.

It is extremely important to continue providing a clean and safe space for our students and teachers....making your visit a positive and healing experience.

From now on may we kindly ask all of our students and visitors to wear a face covering when entering, departing and walking around the studio. Yoga is all about the breath so make sure to remove it once you are on your yoga mat.

Update: 25th August 2020, 1601

An update from Kat on the Coronavirus

Hello Lofters,

I was so excited to be able to welcome you back through the Yoga Loft doors on Saturday 25th July.  The Yoga Loft is YOUR sanctuary of peace, your opportunity to reconnect with mind, body and soul.  Supporting you to do this remains my top priority. Now, more than ever, it’s so important to make time out for you, so please book into your favourite classes and make a commitment to spending some time with yourself.  Prepare to feel uplifted, relaxed and to leave the studio with a big smile on your face. Of course there are some changes to make sure we are keeping safe but making your visit a positive experience is also very important.
Firstly we are operating a reduced schedule to ensure there is time to clean between classes and students can enter and leave easily. Please take a look through and if you have any concerns do let me know.  I want you all to feel comfortable and safe at the Loft.

Before entering the Yoga Loft:

  • Please do not attend your class if you have experienced any cold or flu symptoms in the last 14 days  or you have been in contact with anyone with cold or flu symptoms in the last 14 days.

  • Although the Yoga Loft space is airy ,ventilated and large,  our class sizes have been reduced to allow for a 2 meters gap between mats. All students must prebook their space via MindBody (add link) and use the early  cancel function if you cannot attend.

  • Please shower at home before the class whenever possible.

  • Make use of the hand sanitising station on arrival.

Before entering the practice space:

  • When walking through the building be mindful of the space and distance to allow safe passing on the stairs ,toilets as well as in the changing room. Please keep your socks on until you’re on your mat.

  • You may use the lockers and changing  room, but only bring necessary items.

  • For now, instead of using the lounge area before or after the class, please use your yoga mat space to relax until the class begins.

While inside the practice space:

  • You will need to use your own yoga mat, towel and yoga props whenever possible, if you use any from the studio please hand them in to the teacher to clean after the class.

  • There will be no hands on adjustments for now, but don’t panic as there will be plenty of verbal ones.

  • After the class please leave one student at the time to avoid congestion.

But most of all come and enjoy yourself with your fellow students, friends and teachers.
