We will be hosting Lucy here at the Yoga Loft for the entire weekend the full line up will include a Fri night Class, 2 Morning (Small) Self Practice Sessions adjusted by Lucy and 2 Afternoon Workshops all for just £150. MORE ABOUT LUCY…
Lucy Crawford began her body centred work in 1990 as an Aromatherapist, Massage Therapist and Bodywork Practitioner at Natureworks, London. She began her study of Yoga in 1992 with Derek Ireland and Radha Warrell in London. In December 1993 Lucy travelled to India to begin her studies with Shri K. Pattabhi Jois. In 1995 Lucy received Guruji’s blessing to teach and has been sharing the Practice of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga since that time.
She currently holds Yoga Workshops in the UK and around the world, teaches small groups from her studio in Bristol and is Director of her own Teacher Training Programme, also held in Bristol.
Lucy has a background in Aromatherapy, Applied Kinesiology, Massage, Bodywork, Chavutti Thirimal (Indian Foot Pressure Massage) and Craniosacral Biodynamics (a gentle touch listening therapy) and is a Tutor at the Karuna Institute, Devon, on the 2 year Foundation in Craniosacral Biodynamics.
THE WEEKEND SCHEDULE..
FRI (25TH OCT) 19.00-21.15 - Explorative and experimental class and Meet and Greet
SAT (26TH OCT) 08.00-10.00 or 10.30-12.30 Assisted Self Practice with Lucy Adjusting
SAT (26TH OCT) 13.30-15.00 - Technical Workshop focusing on the exploration of shoulders and the movements of the shoulder blades for correct shoulder support during transitions and opening for binding.
This will be incorporated into a flowing practice and fun exploration leading towards a standing bound Tittibasana as a way towards Kurmasana and Suptakurmasana.
SUN (27th OCT) 08.00-10.00 or 10.30-12.30 Counted & Adjusted Primary Series
SUN (27TH OCT( 13.30-15.00) Restorative Workshop primarily focusing on stretching of the front thigh and rectus femoris and its relationship to releasing and lengthening the lumbar spine. Followed by some further restorative practice and poses.
